In Fruitero: Watching the Baby Grow

In Fruitero (a play on the Latin in utero, which means “in the womb”) is inspired by the commonly used week-by-week pregnancy guide that equates an unborn baby’s size with a fruit or vegetable.

Patterned cut-paper silhouettes in bright primary and secondary colors illustrate the story of a young son and his mother through her second pregnancy. The simple rhyming text grows with the mother’s belly, ending with a “satisfying punch” (according to an Apple review).
